Forsyth County offers a dynamic education system that is continually expanding to meet the growing needs of the community. Thanks to a low student/teacher ratio, students receive a more personalized education. The county's progressive approach to education has made the school district one of the best in the state, with nine of the top 15 schools on a recent Georgia Public School Commission report card being located in Forsyth County.
Children in River Rock can attend Matt Elementary School, Liberty Middle School, and North Forsyth High School.
The area is also served by three private schools: Ivy League Montessori School, Pinecrest Academy, and Covenant Christian Academy.
